Dear LWYFL Football Families,
We have exciting news for our program.
The previous GCFYL rule that allowed only one player move during an athlete’s LWYFL career has been removed. Beginning this season, we will hold open evaluations each year for returning players.
This gives every athlete the opportunity to pursue more playing time, seek new challenges, or experience a different team environment if they choose.
What You Need to Know
- Any returning player may request reevaluation each season.
- Participation in reevaluation is required to be considered for a team move.
- Reevaluation does not guarantee a team move.
- If there is only one team in your player’s grade, evaluations are not required.
- This process is optional. If your player is happy on their current team, no action is needed.
- Players must register in advance to participate.
Team needs, open positions, and roster size will factor into all decisions.
All player movement decisions will be reviewed and approved by the LWYFL Board to ensure fairness and alignment with the best interest of both the athlete and the program.
Please note: Once reevaluations are completed and rosters are finalized, no player moves will occur during the season.
Reevaluation Details
Dates: March 7, 2026 and March 21, 2026
Who: All players in grade levels with two teams who have previously played on one of those teams
Location: Lebanon High School Auxiliary Gym

Evaluation Schedule
Please arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled time for check in and warm up. Each session will last approximately one hour.
- 6th Grade: 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM
- 5th Grade: 9:15 AM to 10:15 AM
- 4th Grade: 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM
Important Notes
- Evaluations are closed to parents. Please remain in your vehicle until your player’s session is complete.
- Head coaches will be selected prior to evaluations and may only attend during their designated time slot.
We are building a strong, competitive, and development focused program. This update provides flexibility while maintaining fairness and structure.
